Jonny Goode's
'This is England' - London Tour
Day 1, 10 September 2012

We're living the dream!

I'll slap the next person who says the world of pop music is glamorous! Organising a music tour is a project manager's nightmare. The loop pedal died the night before the tour started, watches failed, the trolley's wheel managed to get caught between the Underground carriage and platform, the manager managed to get off at the wrong station, and then it took the hotel's electrician ten minutes to answer the front door bell. We were given a room on the top floor, with no lift, the room's radiator had to be drained and then water started pouring out of the extractor fan in the shower ceiling!

Jonny's managed to land a great gig for Saturday the 15th. Really organised Tallulah from the Bonobo Charity called and the Burlesque Evening at the swish Loose Cannon is a fantastic way to round off the tour. Featuring The Blind Hearts and other acts, this is a real result and a good cause! Their website is here and the booking page is here.

Back to the first night's action. The Stag's Head at Hoxton will never be in the Michelin guide, but it turned out to be an intimate and welcoming venue. Just what one needs after a difficult first day on tour! Anthony Macaulay from NikonGear joined us, the compere was organised, and Jonny was dragged back on stage to play a second set to close out the evening.
