Leeds Metropolitan University

After completing an MSc through Leeds Met (now Leeds Beckett University) in 2001, I decided to pursue a PhD. My move to Leeds was for this purpose, and I spent most of 2006 reading knowledge management and preparing a research proposal before returning to full time employment. Here are some views of the Leeds campus.

The Library: Taken from The Acre, the Library serves as a nucleus for the Headingly campus.

Me in 2006: I shared an office with Dr Paul Marchant during 2006. The filing system is not mine!

Beckett Park in Winter: An early morning blanket of snow covers Beckett Park, dusting branches and leaving little birds to forage brazenly.

A winter panorama: Beckett Park with the Headingly campus in the background. This was taken at Easter in 2008. The Fuji S5 has a real knack for photographing snow.

Civic Quarter: I returned to lecturing at the University in December 2008 so that I could focus on completing the Ph.D. Full time project management can be quite stressful, particularly when one is juggling dozens of projects, so I decided to teach rather than do (and we all know the old saying about that!) for a year.

22 Apr 2009: Abseiling down C Block at Leeds Met University. The Centre for Project Management students organised a charity abseil, and apart from the odd scream everything went well.

05 Feb 2009: Queens Square, from an office window. Rode in on the motorcycle, despite the icy roads.
